Join us on a farm tourAt Heritage Farm we love visitors. We run two different sorts of tours, depending on what you’re looking for. If you’re a farmer of the future, an eco warrior, or just plain interested in the ethics of your food, our ‘Farming Philosophies’ tour is perfect for you. This tour runs once a month, for an hour and a half. We take you around the production area of our farm, and discuss how we practise sustainable, ethical and organic agriculture. You get to see it for yourself. You can see the ducks and chooks that produce your eggs. You’ll be able to see how many we have, what they eat and how they lives their lives. You’ll meet our cows, our sheep, and we’ll go over our pasture management, and fruit orchard. No green wash. You can ask any questions about our farming methods on the spot.
Awesome experience learning from people in the know and seeing the progress they are making! Beautiful property and animals and doing it the right way! Highly recommend – Lorne LippiattWant something less educational, and more kid friendly? Love animals, and spending time outside? Then choose our ‘Feed the Animals’ tour instead. It runs most days, for an hour. You will get to meet and feed all our animals and accompany us on our morning chores. There’s not time for detailed questions about pasture species, or feed blends (although we always do our best to answer anything that comes up), but if you want to be licked by a cow and to pat a sheep, then this is the option for you!
Fantastic morning, the tour was fun and informative. My daughters had a wonderful time and the fresh chook eggs are amazing – Tracey Stoker
Please note that we are a working farm so bring along your weather appropriate clothing (sunscreen/hats/gumboots and raincoats) and closed shoes. Any questions? Please contact us.
