Large Organic Vegetable Box

Once you make your first online order, your first payment will be processed on the following Saturday. All vegetable box payments are processed on Saturday night. Your box will be ready on the next Tuesday/Friday/Saturday (depending on your location or delivery option) after your first payment is processed. Any questions? Please check the FAQs or contact us 🙂

What will be in my box?

If you order a ‘Large’ box, it will contain 8-9 different vegetables in large quantities. Our ‘Small’ box contains just a taste of 5-6 different kinds of veg. Our ‘Medium’ box contains 6 vegetables (but more of each type). The veggies in your box will change every week.

All the organic vegetables in your box are harvested fresh. Many of them in the morning before your pickup. This means that all of our boxes are entirely seasonal. This means your veggies are fresher but there aren’t tomatoes in winter (or bananas, ever).

A Summer box: 200g Salad mix, 150g oyster mushrooms, 3 cobs of corn, 2 eggplant, 2 bok choy, 2-3 green capsicum, 1 bunch dutch carrots, 300g cherry tomatoes, 3 cucumbers

An Autumn Box: 1 cauliflower, 200g baby spinach, 3 leeks, 1 celery, 300g beans, 1kg tomatoes, 1 bunch beetroot, 2-3 bulbs garlic, 2kg Pumpkin

A Winter Box: 1 bunch silverbeet, 1 red cabbage,  350g brussel sprouts, 3 heads brocolli, 2 fennel, 1kg brown onions, 200g swiss brown mushrooms,  1.2kg potatoes, 1kg carrots   

A Spring Box: 150g radish & sunflower microgreens, 1 bunch baby beetroot, 1 bunch spring onions, 400g broad beans, 1 bunch dutch carrots, 250g snow peas, 300g asparagus, 1 bunch of brocollini, 1 bunch of radish

Is everything in my box organic?

Yes! Most of our produce is certified organic. Some is grown organically, but not certified. We don’t put conventional veg in our boxes. No exceptions. No confusion. Organic only.

How many people does my box feed?

It depends how much you eat! Our large sized organic vegetable box is a great option for a family or vegetarian couples.

What’s the difference between a standard box and a Community box?

A community box has the same organic veg, in the same quantities as our standard box. The extra 10% you pay goes straight to putting food on the tables of people who can’t afford it.

We say ‘straight’ because we donate all of the overheads (power, transport and distribution) as well as our time. Your contribution does nothing but buy the freshest, organic food. Why have we made it 10%? Did you know that 10% of people living on the Mornington Peninsula live below the poverty line? We believe in feeding our community- all of it. And that means people who are struggling too.

There’s no pressure to buy the community box. We offer the standard box for a reason! We understand that not everybody wants to donate. Some people’s budget is already stretched by purchasing organic food. Others contribute to community organisations already, through money or time. No judgement here- do what works for you.

I’m zero/low waste

Great! Our boxes are too! There’s never plastic in your box. We love when people return rubber bands to us and the farmers for reuse.  And if you have vegetable scraps at the end of the week bring them back to the farm to be add to our community compost, and help us grow more veg. The plastic crate your veggies come in is reuseable and must be returned each week. 🙂

How often can I have my box?

Weekly, fortnightly and as a once off are the options available to you. The once off boxes are all Community boxes, which is why they cost extra.

We encourage you to try a weekly or fortnightly box. It’s a commitment to purchase a seasonal, local and organic veggie box every week/fortnight. By getting a regular box, we can plan our vegetable plantings in advance, and so can the other farmers growing for our box. It gives us stability, and prevents good crops being wasted.

Pickup is from our farm gate in Moooroduc either 3-5pm on Friday or 9am-12pm on Saturday. Your credit card will be charged the week before, for the following Friday/Saturday (5/6 days away). We also deliver on Tuesday afternoon (to Mornington and Mt Martha) and Friday afternoon (to Frankston and Mt Eliza). We also have a few pop up pick up locations.

We understand sometimes you go away on holidays, or just need a break. While our first preference is for you to find a friend who’d like your box, you have access to your subscription at all times. That means you can login and pause, cancel or change your box size at any time. BUT, you need to make the changes The Saturday before!!
