Our Farm Gate Shop is open Fridays 3-5pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 12 noon
Heritage Farm is a 20 acre organic farm in Moorooduc, on the Mornington Peninsula. We farm animals as well as vegetables and fruit (though our trees are still young!). Our focus is on producing food of the highest quality, in terms of flavour, nutrition, and ethics. And the best to way to get our produce is direct from us at our farm gate shop. We sell our organic chook eggs and organic duck eggs every week. We are launching a weekly organic veggie box on the 5th of July, 2019. We also sell wool from our sheep, craft DIY kits and a colouring book all about our farm.
Some of our produce sells out quickly, so you can order online for pick up at our farm gate shop. Or just come down on a Saturday morning and have a browse.
What else is there to do at the Farm Gate?
Tours, Workshops and Classes
We run a number of tours, workshops and classes at Heritage Farm. All of our tours meet at the farm gate shop to begin, and our workshop circle is next to the farm gate too. Bookings are required for both, and you can check dates and other details here.
Bulk Buying Co-op
Our Farm Gate Shop is also a pick up point for our Bulk Buying Co-op. We run the Mornington Peninsula and Greater Melbourne Bulk Co-op on a quarterly basis, supplying affordable dried goods and household items. We stock some conventional items, but our focus here is on organic as well.
Organic Veggie Boxes
We currently offer one off, weekly and fortnightly organic veggie boxes. . These contain 100% organic produce, sourced from local farms. These can be preordered and picked up at our farm gate, or delivered if you live in Frankston, Frankston South, Mt Eliza, Mornington, Mt Martha or some of our other delivery areas.
Community Compost
We know that not everyone has access to a compost bin at home. Some people don’t have space, others don’t have enough scraps. But we also know that reducing food waste in landfill is important! We love composting- well, mostly we love the compost we get at the end of the process! And we’d love you to contribute to it. So if you’d like to bring your food scraps to contribute to our community compost we’d love to have them.
If you’d like some more detail about how to get involved and what we do and don’t accept please have a look here.
