Our Farm Gate Shop is open Saturdays from 9 am to 12 noon

Heritage Farm is a 20 acre organic farm in Moorooduc, on the Mornington Peninsula. We farm animals as well as vegetables and fruit (though our trees are still young!). Our focus is on producing food of the highest quality, in terms of flavour, nutrition, and ethics. And the best to way to get our produce is direct from us at our farm gate shop. We sell our organic chook eggs and organic duck eggs every week. We are launching a weekly organic veggie box on the 5th of July, 2019. We also sell wool from our sheep, craft DIY kits and a colouring book all about our farm.

Some of our produce sells out quickly, so you can order online for pick up at our farm gate shop. Or just come down on a Saturday morning and have a browse.

What else is there to do at the Farm Gate?

Tours, Workshops and Classes

We run a number of tours, workshops and classes at Heritage Farm. All of our tours meet at the farm gate shop to begin, and our workshop circle is next to the farm gate too. Bookings are required for both, and you can check dates and other details here.

Bulk Buying Co-op

Our Farm Gate Shop is also a pick up point for our Bulk Buying Co-op. We run the Mornington Peninsula and Greater Melbourne Bulk Co-op on a quarterly basis, supplying affordable dried goods and household items. We stock some conventional items, but our focus here is on organic as well.

Organic Veggie Boxes

We are currently organising an organic veggie box option. This is in it’s trial phase, and will contain 100% organic produce, sourced from a few farms on the Mornington Peninsula, not just ours. If you are interested in being part of our trial, or hearing more about it when we officially launch, get more info here. These boxes will need to be pre-ordered, will need to be picked up from the farm gate on a Saturday morning.

Community Compost

We know that not everyone has the time or inclination to have a compost bin at home. Some people just don’t produce enough scraps to have a healthy compost. But we all know that reducing food waste in landfill is important! Here at Heritage Farm we have a pretty rocking compost system, so we reckon why not share it. If you’d like to bring your food scraps to contribute to our community compost we’d love to have them. We use all the compost in our food producing areas, and the more the better!

We do have a few rules about what you can include. And on your first visit we like to show you the ins and outs of the system ourselves. But after that it’s no fuss, especially if you’re visiting the farm anyway for our organic produce!
