Our lambing in 2018 has proven quite successful – although we haven’t been so lucky with gender. Unfortunately nearly all our lambs this year are boys!
Winter has been much drier than last year. With lower rainfall, we’ve got less water stored for the warmer months. At least all of our animals are enjoying the better weather. As of August 2018 we’ve only had one or two bad frosts – compared to at least six last year!
A few months ago we welcomed a hive of bees on to the farm. My brother, Cam is in charge of their upkeep – along with his partner Lucy. To be honest, I was rather looking forward to eating fresh honey!
